Christie was born and raised in a suburb of Salt Lake City, Ut. She lives less than a mile from the home she grew up in. World traveler she is not. But what she lacked in travel she more than made up for in her imagination. Within her vivid imagination she has traveled the world over as well as different worlds and different times.
She works a full time day job to pay the bills but looses herself in books and her writing whenever possible.
She is a loving mother of two wonderful children that she admits she is obsessed with. She has been married for 18 years to a very tolerant man that is grounded in reality in order for her to fly to the heights of her own imagination.
She started writing when she was a teenager after reading a book that she didn't like the ending too. Took a hiatus to raise her wonderful children but has dedicated herself to becoming a published writer for the last several years

Interview
Where do you get your ideas?
I pull my ideas from history and mythology and tweak them to fit modern day surroundings. I look around the world and thing what if? I am a dreamer at heart with a wild imagination. I just wonder what would have happened if mythology had been real, if the gods of old had really ruled and all those scary things that went bump in the night really truly were real.
Name your top five favorite books.
The Blue Sword by: Robin McKinley (I read it when I was a teenager and I still read it at least once a year.)
A Gathering of Gargoyles (book 2 of the Darkangle Trilogy) by: Meredith Ann Pierce
The Bride by: Julie Garwood
By the Sword by: Mercedes Lackey
Halfway to the Grave by: Jeaniene Frost
How do you handle writer’s block?
I once had writers block that crippled me for over a year. It’s seriously not a joke, but also for me it was a mental thing and I really for that time had to sit down and make myself write. Other times when I have had it was because my characters or my muse were just not speaking to me and I just had to change my up like music I was listening to or put what I was currently working on away and work on something different for a couple of days.
All I can say is writer’s block sucks!!!
What inspired you to write this book?
Reaper Mine is book 3 and although I try to write my books as all stand-alone books these are characters that have been introduced in books previously so I already know who they are. Victor the hero is a very interesting character and the heroine is a great female character whom I thought was very relatable.
What’s the hardest part of being an author?
I’ll be honest, the marketing and the reviews are the hardest part. Being an author is a solitary job but the moment you publish your book you suddenly need to become this public figure. And as solitary individuals trying to get people to notice you and say nice things about you and your baby, (sorry your book) is difficult. And at times it can feel like an impossible task.
