That is the great mystery. They seem to come from everywhere and nowhere. My best guess is that they are the product of an ongoing conversation between my conscious and subconscious minds.
2. Do you have a dream cast for your book?
Yes! In fact, I have my dream cast up on Pinterest. For main characters Cate and Ben, Iâm currently shipping Dakota Johnson and Stephen Amell.
3. How do you handle writerâs block?
Iâm not sure Iâve ever had writerâs block, in the sense of sitting down and not having anything to write. My challenge is actually sitting down, and once Iâm there, focusing. Once I do those two things, the ideas comeânot always in a steady flow, but they tend to come.
4. What inspired you to write this book?
As the last installment in The Healing Edge paranormal romance/suspense series, All the Light There Is was inspired by the interpersonal connections and larger plots of the first two books. It ties them together and serves as both the culmination of the series and a broadening of the imagination for the future of the MacGregor Group. All the Light There Is casts its group of paranormally-gifted healers into a new and galvanizing role as they uncover a deep web of subterfuge that puts them in the crosshairs. In this crucible of science and spirituality, danger and destiny, the relationship between Cate and Ben deepens, and the MacGregor Group discovers shocking truths about their true potential.
5.Whatâs the hardest part of being an author?
For me, itâs when I reach that point in a manuscript where something just isnât working, but I canât figure out what it is. I know now that chances are, Iâll figure it out eventually, but it can take months, and sometimes requires radical changes. On the other hand, I love being surprised by what Iâm writing, and itâs a great feeling when everything finally comes together. So even the âhardest partâ has a silver lining.
